Xtrema Cookware by Cremacor - Review & Giveaway.

 

 

When it comes to cooking, you need two things...the first being skill (not much, just a little) and the second, good cookware.  Having good cookware (and knowing how to use it) can make an OK meal into an extraordinary one.

In the last few months, I have really focused on my kitchen.  I wanted to make sure that I was using top quality cookware.  When you buy a good quality frying pan, and treat it right it will last you a lifetime.  I have a few staple items in my kitchen that belonged to my grandmother.  And they're just as good today as they were 20 years ago.  It also reduces waste when you get the good stuff.  Because it never sees a landfill.

I was thrilled when the folks at Cremacor agreed to send me a sample of their High Quality Ceramic Cookware to review here during the Everything Kitchen event.  First let me share with you a little bit about Xtrema.

Xtrema lives up to its name as well.  You can use this cookware anywhere....from the cook top, to the oven, the freezer to the kitchen table.  Completely versatile!  Saving you time. (It's always nice when you can reduce the number of dishes you have to wash)  Not only that, this cookware can handle the heat.  It can withstand temperatures up to 2700 F!  Your old steel pan would have long since melted at these temperatures!!

I think my favorite feature is that It cannot be scratched!  Metal utensils, steel wool, chore boys...try them all.  The natural non stick enamel can take it all!

I was sent the 10" Ceramic Braiser pan with cover for the purpose of this review, and this pan has quickly moved to the front of the line of products I use daily.  And boy do I love it!  I figured the first time I used it, I was going to give it the big test.  Baked Goulash with melted Cheese over the top.  This recipe is yummy, but clean up is usually horrible due to the baked on melted cheese. 

Now, I had to wait a little while after dinner before I could wash this pan up.  It held on to it's heat for a long time.  (Makes it wonderful for pot luck dinners!) Once it did cool down and I divided up the left-overs for future quick meals it was time to see just how well this pan cleaned up.  I was very surprised at how well it lived up to its claims.  Since the coating on it is naturally non stick, I was able to wipe most of it clean with just soap, water and dish cloth....there were a few spots where the cheese had baked on that I had to use my scrubby, and when I dried the pan, there wasn't a scratch to be found. 

I am thrilled to have this pan in my kitchen, and hope that you will enjoy it as much as I do.
