Candles, Wine & Sweets for my Valentine
How do you plan to spend your Valentine's Day?
I know, being parents leaves little time for ourselves, especially in the Romance department. In the 5 years that I've been a parent, I don't remember one Romantic Valentine's Day - more sweet treats with my kiddo, and silly presents from hubby.
Well, this year is going to be different with a big thanks to Glade. Yesterday I received a box full of wonderful goodies to share with my sweetie on Valentine's Day! A yummy cookie, actually a Mookie, from JinjaNinja. (I'll be honest, Ben and I have already eaten this, YUM!) - Some ADORABLE greeting cards from Jonesy.ca, and gift enclosures too. I actually can't wait to send these cards out, they are very simple and classy, I have a few friends that would love to receive these). The package also included a bottle of Copper Moon wine - I can only have a little because I'm nursing, but I'm sure it'll taste wonderful - It's been about a year since I've even had a taste! And from glade we received a multi wick candle in sheer white cotton scent, as well as a single candle and reed diffuser in the Currant and Acai scent, My Very Favorite Scent Ever!!!
Now that you're all jealous of my Valentine's Plans, I'm going to make it even better! Glade has provided me with this same Gift Package to give to one of my Canadian Readers!

I have to say I don't remember any Valentine's Days since I got married... but before I was married I always loved going out with a couple other single girlfriends for a nice dinner, laughing and flirting with the cute waiters LOL

Valentines is never a really big deal with me and my husband. I am just as happy to get a kiss and an "I love you" vs flowers or some other gift.

My favourite Valentine's Day was when my boyfriend surprised me with flowers and dinner overlooking the falls, it was beautiful.
-My favourite design at Jonesy is the girly monkey birthday cards in the baby and kids section.
-My favourite Mookie design is the 6th Christmas tree design, in the Winter section. They all look yummy.
-My favourite Glade product are the scented oil candles in Angel Whisper, I have them all over the house.

Valentine's Day with small kids usually involves pizza and Disney movies!! Not exactly overly romantic but it works for us. I love enjoying time with my kids while they're still little and here hanging out with us.

I have always had great valentine's day's Can't remember a bad one! I guess it's all perspective on life right; Enjoy the company of loved ones and don't sweat the small stuff!
i remember being in the hospital with apncritious and gullstones waiting for the pain to subside enough for surgery. my boyfriend at the time and out son were home patienty waiting. i was told by the doctor that they needed to operate soon but were concerned because i might not pull through if they opereated to early and while i was in pain. so i made the dreded phone call home and fill my boyfriend in on what was going on. a week later they finally did operate and i was able to go home on valentines day. i got back and a friend of ours was watching our son. i couldnt understand why he wasnt thee to great me. puzzled, i herd footsteps in the in hallway and in he came with the biggest bouquet and box of chocolates he could find! he looks at me and said "i will always be here for you and i know that you and i are ment to be. you made me the man i amtoday. i love you." my eyes started to swell up and i couldnt hold back the tears any longer.
that day will always remain in my memory. six years later we are married with 3 children and happier than ever.
To be honest with you, i somewhat dread V day. Just another day i say. I am single so no plans in the future!! Just hope to win this prize pack and enjoy it. I also tweeted!! @mariab76/billiondollarprincesss@hotmail.com
I love valentines day and spending it with my husband. I love getting presents just 2 months after Christmas!! We usually have a nice dinner in a nice restaraunt, which is a rarity for us with 2 kids!

Well we don't usually hype up Valentines Day now, but I do remember when I was in high school they always did the Carnation flower thing - where people could buy their friends or sig others a flower and it would be delivered in class. Well I was always the kid who never got a flower. So one year my Mom had a whole bunch of carnations delievered especially to me to make the day more special. It was incredibly sweet.

My last few valentine's days have not really been all that exciting. I have been single for awhile so my son and I just spend it hanging out together. This year though I am really looking forward to it because I have someone very special that lives in Montreal and he will be coming to see me and I am sure that he has tons of romantic things he wants to do with me

I don't get to celebrate Valentines Day as it is my husbands birthday. I usually end up cooking a nice meal and have some wine. But it isn't about me. I have never been taken out for a valentine day dinner. Btw our 25th anniversary is this year..so 25 years of non valentines day.

Valentine's Day 2005 I got engaged! My guy asked me to marry him then with a beautiful card with a homemade poem in it. He read the poem out to me and at the end it asked the question. The best Valentine's Day EVER!

To this day one of my fondest Valentine memories was when I was 10. My dad bought a heart shaped box of chocolates for me, and me alone!! I remember feeling a little sad for my mom at the time but she just gushed about how lucky I was. Made me feel so special and grown-up. lizevlug@hotmail.com

my best valentine memory was in high school, i just started dating a guy a week before valentine. he paid dumb saying he forgot that valentine was coming up. so i wasnt expecting anything from him. instead he sent me roses and a stuff animal to me at school.

Most Valentine's days I spend time with just my son so its always great. I have had a few Valentines date stories that ended in disaster, including one with a fire alarm in a fancy restaurant that I set off!! But I would rather not re-live that embarrassment haha.
