Ok, so my very favorite boots for winter are Uggs...and with the Canadian Winters that we have here in Nova Scotia...they totally come in handy..(or should it be footy). They keep my tootsies so nice and warm, I just can't wait to get my feet into a new pair soon. (Yes, I'm a winter girl)

We all remember GI Joe from the '80 - well at least I do...you know, A Real American Hero who taught all our brothers how to keep safe by not playing with things that can hurt you...always doing good and such. Well, as I'm sure many of you have heard, they're back, and just in time for our kiddo's to look up to them.
The new GI Joe game was released August 4th 2009. Just in time for the new GI Joe movie! An action packed game featuring 20 Levels, a dozen playable GI Joes, and four unlockable COBRA operatives. We had the chance to review this game and for Daddy and I, it was pretty cool! He's a huge fan of shoot'em up games and thought this was an awesome one to play!
Since my kiddo is only 4, and this game is rated Teen, I can't really let him play it that much, even though he'd probably love it. (Daddy probably already has let him, they're good at keeping secrets from me)
This game, similar to many action games has decent graphics and game play, though I will say I found the camera angles a little hard to get used to. With 20 levels and lots of extra's it's a game you can totally loose time in...which actually makes it one of my favs!! (If a game can keep hubby out of my way for hours at a time, I'm much more able to accomplish things throughout my day)
I would totally recommend this game to anyone who's into action packed, gun slinging games...great for teens and dad's alike! This would totally be a hit under the Christmas Tree this year (if your already shopping like I am)

This week I was very happy to have the chance to chat with the Husband and Wife team, and creators of Belle's Biscuits. With our new babies arrival getting closer and closer, I'm always looking for premium products to help him get through his first year.
Belle's Biscuits are toddler teething biscuits that were created to help ease the suffering of toddlers going though that horrible teething process. (It also helps the parents too!) Due to food allergies in their family, they had to be made Dairy, Soy and Wheat FREE! This is the feature that intrigued me the most. Our family has some wheat allergies as do many other families out there. To be able to find a quality product that they can give to their children, worry free is the ultimate in stress relief!
Now, since I don't have any teething babies right now, we tried these out on our own. May I just say that they are wonderful with a hot cup of tea! The adorable heart shaped cookies come two in a package making them very easy to carry around. Just throw them in your diaper bag, purse, even keep a package in your car. (I love easy)
We received two boxes to try out, Wild Maine Blueberry and Original Vanilla.
The Wild Maine Blueberry was literally bursting with flavor! I was amazed at just how much flavor there was. My 4 year old LOVED them, as did his Grampy.
My favorite of the two was the Original Vanilla, though not so strong in flavor, they were perfect for my palate and suited my cup of tea just fine. I did find them a tad softer than the Blueberry. I actually just had one with a glass of milk while I was typing this...YUMMY!

With our new baby coming this winter, I am really trying to put together a great space for baby to sleep. Since we live in a rental, we're not aloud to paint, so trying to make a unique space for baby to be is much more difficult.
I came across a design on The Simple Stencil that is very close to something that is said in our home all the time! I was thrilled to have the chance to check it out and put it on our wall for the kiddos to see all the time!
We settled on this design... A little about The Simple Stencil: Simple Stencils are pre-spaced, pre-pasted individual letters or designs that can adhere to any flat surface. They can be used on walls, plastic, glass, metal, stone and more! These decorative laser cut designs are very thin, around the thickness of 3 coats of paint. They are not decals or stickers, and do not have clear plastic around them. They are individual.
Application is easy, all you have to do is peel of the back and place it to the surface. Use the tool that will come with your stencil to apply. The great thing is that if your a little nervous, they send you a free test word! Practice first, then apply!
What excites me about The Simple Stencil is that they have designs for every possible room or occasion. And if by some small chance you can't find what you're looking for, you can even design your own using the Design Center!
All in all, I really like The Simple Stencil, their designs and their products. I can't wait to order our next design for the Family Room. (I'm putting together a photo wall).

OK, first of all, I absolutely have to say, THIS TOY ROCKS! We received this car only a few weeks ago and it has become an instant hit! How often do you come across a toy that #1 - Doesn't take batteries or any form of electrical power, #2 - Taps into the only know energy source that never runs out - KID POWER!! Never...I mean really. Every toy my child owns takes batteries or plugs into the wall, but not the Plasmacar!
So, if this toy has no batteries, than how does work? Well, that's what I'm here to tell you! When your kiddo sits on it, they move the steering wheel to the left and to the right. That moves the wheels under the car back and forth. The more they wiggle, the faster it goes. Inertia + Gravity + Kid Power are the forces at hand here.
