What's Going On!!

Well folks, as I sit here listening to Chicks Who Chat on Blog Talk Radio, I figured it's about time to fill you all in on what's been going on! DH and I are officially moving very soon! I checked out a great apartment yesterday, and I wanted it sooooo bad! It's totally within our budget and has lots of space....walking distance from all the major stores. It's awesome!!! So, I was ready to go sign the lease and damn....they have appts to show to 6 more families today....so now, I'm patiently waiting for a phone call, in hopes that we get it. Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

Besides that, I have 2 new sites that I've been working on, and I can't wait for them to launch! The first, Mom*e Must Haves launches on March 1st....Yup!! This Sunday so make sure head over there and subscribe so that you don't miss out on any of the fun... Lots of giveaways going to be happening throughout the month of March!!

The second site I am building is Canadian Mommy. Thoughout my time in the blogoverse I've come to realize that it is mainly US content. Slimpressions - Product Review and Giveaway!

Say goodbye to arms that wave back to you, muffin top jeans and bubble ridden backs! Slimpressions have created a wonderful of line undergarments to fix all our problem spots!!

When I received my Slimpressions I was so excited. Finally a product that will help me look better in my jeans. Now, I have to tell you that when I first saw them, I didn't think I would be able to squeeze me into them! They looked much smaller than I expected. But once I read the instructions on the label, I had no problem fitting into the garment. I easily stepped into them and pulled it up. Instantly reducing the apparent size of my belly and hips. All of a suddon, I looked 10-15 pounds lighter, and with the ribbed, seamless design, no one would ever guess I was wearing a "control top."

I have to say, not only is it great for that muffin top. What a number it does on the upper arm. I have finally been able to dig out some of my favorite tops that just don't fit my arms anymore. I have to admit, I love Eleven Collection!! They have such an array of adorable childrens footwear, from sandles to boots, dress shoes and sneakers. Everything your little guy or gal would ever need in a shoe!! Recently I received a pair of sneakers for my little one. And they are just too cute for words. He loves them, and talkes about them all the time.


They are a very soft suede and leather. The rubber soles are flexible and can definitely stand up to the torture that my 4 year old puts them through. With lots of room in the toe, and Velcro closures, they slide on with ease!! We love these shoes and will continue to use them throughout the years my kids are small!

The new spring lineup is coming out and just check these adorable sandals out! They are absolutely adorable!! I can't wait to see my little guy running around in these!!

When my son was born, I went through the process of learning how to breastfeed. I'm sure many of you Mommies out there will remember that process. After a couple of weeks, DS and I had it mastered. Every couple of hours he was latching on, and I was confined to my chair, or seeking out a bathroom.

In my own home, I had no issues exposing myself to breastfeed, but I noticed if we were out visiting, or at the mall, others we not always comfortable with the process. So, for the sake of others, we would cover ourselves with a receiving blanket or wrap.

Well, I wish I had come across this when DS was small. Glamour Mom has created the most wonderful line of clothes for pregnant and nursing moms that I have ever come across!

The product that I received was the Long Tank in Chocolate, and I have to say, I love it. This is a product that I will hold on to throughout my child bearing years. Next time around I'd like to have 4 or 5 in my wardrobe.

The tank is really quite long, with out a baby belly, the shirt covers my bum. The tank is made of 92% high quality cotton and 8% elastane, and is machine washable. The nursing bra clips are made from very sturdy plastic, and they snap in place, just like a regular nursing bra. The clips blend in with the design of the tank so well, leaving it very discreet.

It Must Be Love....

My Valentines Day Story is one that happened a few years back. But before I get into the story, first I must let you all know that I am not married, DH and I have been together for 9 years, we're happy and content as we are. We do plan to marry, we're (I'm) just not in any hurry...If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've never been that girl who dreams of thier wedding from the time they're 4.

DS was about a year old. DH and I had been all gooey and ga ga over him for the last year, spending very little time on our relationship or ourselves...(that hasn't changed much) So, on this particular Valentine's Day, DH had arranged for his parents to watch our wee one so we could grocery shop in peace. (Ok, DH arrange a sitter? never happens, I knew something was up!) So we drop of our little bundle of joy and head off to Sobeys. We spend about an hour, walking up and down the isles, picking out our favorites. We pay our bill and load up the car. On the way home, DH takes a detour. He turnes up the side road leading to our local Sleading Hill, and parks at the top.

He hands me our Digital Camera and tells me to look through the photos. The first one was a pic of a rose, the second said "Jen, I love you" the next words were the shockers!! Each picture had on a single word, Will, You, Marry, Me, ? Now, I had to say Yes! Of course. He had gone to so much work to put it together...

but...

I'm still not getting married any time soon..and he is fully aware of that. Ask me again when I'm Sixty, I may be more apt to do it then. For now, our relationship is strong, and It doesn't need fixing!

I know that I get exhausted just thinking about pulling out all the heavy equipment, setting it up, working out (while chasing my little one) and then I have to put it all away. Recently I was the lucky winner of a Twitter contest! I saw a tweet that said RT to enter, so I did, and Voila, I won!! Well, I couldn't have been happier. In a short time, I received the package, and WOW! I was amazed at my luck! A beautiful Ruby Heart Pendant and Ruby Stud Earrings! The stones are set in Stirling Silver and does it ever Sparkle!! It looks amazing with my clingy black dress, and I don't think I've taken the earrings out since I got them. I love wearing red in the winter!!

Giveaway Ends Tonight!!!

Out of the mouth of babes...

Yesterday I was spending time with Ben. We were driving around, getting a few errands taken care of and listening to one of Ben's new CD's. Well, I was singing along with with song when Ben said. "Mommy, I don't like it when you sing." Ok, I can deal with that...he has his moments. If I never sang to him again he'd be upset I'm sure. So I stop singing along and we go on with our day.

Then, we're home and he was watching Rugrats in Paris, he walks up to me and says, "Mommy, your not a cool mommy." I though to myself, ok, he's just having an I don't like Mommy day...I can deal with that.

Sooo, the day progresses, we finish up our errands, head over to G-Ma's house, (we're house sitting for the next two weeks) and Ben settles down to play his uncles video games wanting me to play them with him. I set back supper by half an hour to play with him. We're racing along in Mario Kart for Super Nintendo, (yes my bro still has all his systems from when he was a child...He's a HUGE GAMER) Anyway, I had Ben in hysterics, laughing so hard I though for sure he was going to pee himself, when he turns to me, straight faced and says "Mom, that wasn't cool!"

My little guy is going to be a comedian, cause I couldn't keep a straight face after that, and he just feeds on my laughter and need to tell everyone what he's said. To my boy, I love you!! You may not always know just how funny you are, but you've got it kid. OH, and yes...you get it from your Dad.

Last week my mailman brought me a package from See Kai Run. The most adorable pair of girls shoes I've seen in some time. I have to say that when I checked out these adorable shoes, I was impressed. The quality in these shoes is amazing! The leather is soft and the shoe is very securely constructed! This is definitely a shoe that will last a long time. I couldn't wait to show these to my niece "T" and her mom "K".
