Just did this 9 weeks ago. Pack some breath mints since your mouth may get dry and not-so-fresh during labor! Happy delivery!
Flip flops for the shower.
ohhh don't forget a camera!
You will probably get more diapers than you need at the hospital - I know that we did.
I would bring mints or candies... I remember my mouth being so dry during labor, especially after they stop letting you have water. Good luck!!
Slippers... even me... the sock and shoe phobe wanted me slippers! (they are however fuzzy flipflop like slippers... hehe)
I never used the pads I brought. The hospital gave me the huge ones and those were better for the first few days anyways. I got so wicked bored during labor and recovery so my laptop and dvd's were a must.
Also, the hospital gowns are not comfortable in my opinion. I bought a cheap sleep gown at Target and gave birth in that. It wasn't anything fancy so I didn't mind getting it messed up but I still didn't get any of the yucky stuff on it. And I took pj's for the other days I was there to avoid the gowns. It was better to have my own clothes on when we had visitors.
Good luck to you!
I'm a reader so I'd say a book or some magazines, maybe crosswords or Soduku, to relax in down time. I had a pretty short, intense labor so after that, and some rest, I was bored out of my mind!
I was never able to sleep well in a hospital. I packed a little radio with a headphone that I could listen to during the night if I shared a room with someone and dint want to leave the tv on for fear of waking her. I also packed some m&m's and cookies for the middle of the night chocolate cravings (again, because I couldnt sleep).
hair ties man hair ties! I was pulling mine out, putting it in, pulling it out. LOL I agree with camera and video camera. I didn't bother with diapers or wipes or the feminine pads because they always provided them. LOL Clothes to come home in. Best of luck! Sending easy fast labor vibes your way!
How about a fave snack? And 2 piece pj's or something you can nurse in.
I love Luna bars so I was glad to have those.
I don't really remember what I brought to either one of my births! My 2nd labor was sooooo fast.
Hair Brush! And lipstick to perk up your spirits.
camera/extra batteries/memory card (or film??)
