Great Father's Day Gift Idea - XShot! - Bonus Giveaway!!!
Father's Day is coming up fast, and I always have an awful time trying to find a great present for hubby. He loves so many things, and none of which I know anything about. (Mostly tools)
One thing he is, is a gadget lover. He loves anything that makes something else work better. And that I why I was so excited when I was given the chance to check out the XShot.
The XShot is a wonderful little contraption that resembles an antenna or a pointer. It attaches to the base of your camera or video camera using the tripod area and extends to allow you to get your camera in those hard to reach places. All you have to do is attach the camera to the XShot, set the timer and extend! It is also great for those moments in life when you want everyone in the picture. Again, just set the timer and extend! Huddle with your buddies and everyone's in the shot. No one get's left out!
Our family loves the XShot, because I can now finally be in the picture! There are lots of pictures of Ben and Daddy, cause I take them all. Now Daddy just sets it up, and we're all in the shot! Making our family memories complete, with no one missing.
Here is Ben and I on the couch. He's sick today so we snuggled quite a bit. Daddy was at work for this one. There will be lots more X Shot Photo's to come!
The Giveaway
Head over to Xshot and check out the site, let me know something that you found there, It could be something interesting, something neat, or just how you think it would help out your photo taking experience. Please leave a valid email in your entry so that I can contact you if you win!

I liked the fact I can be in the picture more too and don't have to bother a stranger- please take a pic of me/us/etc- also safer than someone else breaking or running off with camera

Ha, this is the perfect contest for us! My hubby and I were out at the lake and we were going to take a cute photo together. Hubby was trying to hold the camera and snap the photo.
Every single photo turned out bad, he was craning his neck and making all sorts of "struggling" faces in every single shot! Here is proof: (http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f60/Talinan/100_0837.jpg)
What a cool invention, I totally need to get this for him!

I learned from the Testimonial section that people loved this product!
I have very few pictures of me and all of my friends. It's usually me and one other (two at most), so we would really love to have this at hand.

I think this product is great because I have virtually no pictures of myself with my daughter! I'm always the one taking pictures and I'd love to get to be in more of them :) Thanks for the giveaway!

great for vacation
I like the fact that you can
"Take pictures from unique angles". I also like that I would be able to be included in many of the family vacation photos that I have been left out of for years because I am always the one taking the pictures.
I found out they ship internationally but it is $25 and takes about 10 days.

I'm generally the picture taker, so it would be nice to be IN the photos!
I learned the extender extends 3 feet and that it is only $29.95 in the US. What a neat idea.
i want to win this
It would help so we don't have to prop up are camera on objects to get family shots. I also don't have to leave anyone out of the photo.

I've wanted one of these for a while - just haven't broken down and bought one. I love that it can be extended over 3 feet (37 inches) but also closes down small enough to be easily portable. I would love to be in some pictures because I'm always behind the camera.
I'm following your blog now!
Tweeted your giveaway.

I'll have to remember to add them to my Facebook. lol

I've been wanting one of these for a while now. I like how your pics won't have the outstretched arm in them...or having to have some stranger take a picture of you.

I am a foot shorter than my husband so self portraits are hard. At least this might help a little. I just wish we could use our DSLR with it. Thanks! thebubbledies(at)gmail(dot)com

I have to say, I'm glad it has a nice quick spin knob - no coins or screwdrivers required! I've had to use coin and screwdrivers before - not fun! & you always need the coins when all you have is bills.

would love this as i'm the photographer in the family, i'm in very few pics myself
I learned Xshot holds safely a maximum camera weight of 1.25lb.
Wish I had one of these on our vacation. I learned that it can extend 3 feet.
Great product :)

I like that it extends to 37", yet closes to an easy-to-carry 9". What a great idea! Thank you for the chance to win.
This extender is such a great idea! Why didn't I think of this? A family can have everyone in the picture at once.

The kids come running every time I pull out the camera. Maybe I can trick them and get a shot before they get too close and all I get are closeups of noses.
I've been wanting one of these, there are times when you would like to be in a picture also and a tripod just is not convenient.

I thought it was cool that there is a gallery pf photos that people can submit their own pics to of shots taken with the device.

I like that I don't have to ask people to take photos for me anymore!

This is pretty cool - the frame size more than doubles and the margin of error is less because it extends to 37 inches!
Thanks

I didn't think of this until I visited their site, no more asking strangers to take your pictures! I did that recently at the Grove Park Inn in North Carolina and the people I asked sure seemed like they didn't want to, but they did anyway.

it's hard for my husband and i to get good pictures of the two of us when we're out on vacations, this would be great!

I like the timing mechanism so I can run and be in this picture. I could use this for our family beach trip pictures! Thanks! senekers@comcast.net
I'm usually too shy to ask strangers to take my picture so this rocks. Please accept my entry. Thank you.
I like the concept of extending the camera out and snapping a picture instead of setting a timer, pushing the button and running back to get into the picture! ;)
mcj4tlj@comcast.net
This would help out a lot I mean there are so many pictures with either myself or my husband not in them I think we only have a handful of all 3 of us.
I learned that the X-Shot only weighs 5 ounces!

I would love to have this! I absolutely hate having to ask a stranger to take a picture of me and my boyfriend when we're out and about. I live in a little tourist town where people are constantly asking me to take pictures of them so I know it can get old pretty quickly.
