Cart Stopper Review and Giveaway!

Photobucket

I have to tell you about something. An ingenious new product geared to help keep our little ones just a little bit safer. This nifty little gadget is definitley a Mom*e Must Have!! Ok, I know, your all wondering what it is I'm talking about.

I'm talking about the Cart Stopper!! One of my biggest worries when I shop with my little one, is keeping him safe in the Cart! Parking lots are a huge danger, and I've found myself chasing a run away shopping cart. Not an experience I want to relive! So, when I received the Cart Stopper, I couldn't wait to try it out! Guess what!! It works!!

All you have to do is attach the Large Industrial Grade Suction Cup to a clean, flat surface on your car, then slide the latch between the rungs on your shopping cart and Voila, a secure cart that isn't going anywhere. This device is so great, that it can be used with out without your children. Even when your shopping alone (cause that ever happens) use the Cart Stopper to keep your cart where you want it!!

The Cart Stopper was created by a husband and wife team. Dyanne and Kevin Houlihan. After a frightening experience with a run away shopping cart (and child) in a Grocery Store parking lot, this couple decided that parents needed a product that would allow them comfort in knowing that their carts (and children) are not going to roll away!!

Well, the wonderful folks from My Lil Monkey's have offered our lucky A Busy Mommy On The Go! readers the chance to win their very own Cart Stopper!! All you have to do to enter is tell me about your parking lot story. Did you have a runaway shopping cart experience, or did you witness one? Have your car been the victim of runaway shopping cart dents? This is a must, if you don't complete this entry, all other entries wont count!!

The only parking lot story that I have is the day I found a dirty diaper on the front of my car. Thanks for the giveaway!

Here's my parking structure story:

http://homelessdave.com/tt20090113fredposner.htm

call 1-212-379-7334 x6 to hear how many spaces there are in the structures in Ann Arbor.

This suction cup idea looks neat but this time of year my car is full of snow and ice. Maybe a bungee cord with a soft hook?

We've been the victim of parking lot damage done to our car. Yesterday saw a man unload his cart and then proceed to leave it behind the car parked beside him. Some people are so ignorant.

The only times I may have had a possible cart experience was when my daughter was old enough to rock her legs back and forth, tyring to make th ecart move. It was all I could do, but try and hold it so that it would runa away!!

Well... I was leaving a store with my daughter in the cart, and I was putting grocery's away in my car when I went back to get her and she was gone. I know scary... I looked all over for her, ONLY to find out that she rolled around to the other side of my vehicle. Kinda funny now when I think about it, But not so funny then! Thanks for the awesome Giveaway!

I owned a Saturn car and remember those commercials on TV and in magazines that showed the shopping cart running into the polyamer sides of a Saturn and not denting it? Well, I came out of the mall one day to find two boys about 11 or 12 years old, each with a shopping cart, continually ramming the shopping carts into the sides of my Saturn to see if they could dent the car! I was furious with the boys! I was equally furious with the Saturn commercial advertisers who gave these boys this idea in the first place. I guess it just shows that good advertising pays though! It was originally one of the reasons that I bought the Saturn car. The end result was that my Saturn didn't have a dent on the sides at all!

My story: I work at a very busy university where parking is at a preium. One busy day in September I drove around the lot until I found a spot next to a garbage dumpster and a building. I drive a little Toyota Yaris. I slipped into the spot. Came out hours later. Someone had dumped their garbage and it overflowed onto my car. SO GROSS!

Thank you for the information and review~! Much appreciated.
Have an awesome day! Amy (amyinkamloops@gmail.com)

The annoying thing about shopping at Costco is that they don't give you bags. So it takes eons to load all your stuff into the trunk. The parking lot is always insanely full of moving cars so my shopping cart is forever running away!

My car is older, so I don't worry about it so much, but many times I have barely caught my cart before it hit someone else's car.

I have actually seen carts roll away and run into other vehicles. But it hasn't happened to me personally. I have had some problems with a cart flipping over though, and it wasn't a good situation! thanks

I agree, Costco is VERY annoying about the no bags. I hate having to cart everything in boxes.

i always see carts rolling into other carts. i usually have to put one foot on the bottom rung to keep it in place. cumbersome when the kids are running around all over the place at the same time like they have ants in their pants.

I've had some close calls in various parking lots with runaway carts almost getting away from me and other people's carts almost hitting my car.

I had my boys in a superstore cart one day and they thought it would be funny to shove with their feet on the bumper of my van while I was loading nags into the back. Well that did not go over well as they proceeded to venture out into the road isle!! Give me a heart attack, little stinkers!!
